Milbemax is a really effective treatment for the control of all the main intestinal parasites cats and dogs are at risk of in the UK. However, it can only be prescribed by a vet, so the challenge for Novartis was how to communicate the superior benefits of this product to pet owners who could then proactively discuss Milbemax as a treatment option with their vet.
Alchemy created a really comprehensive ‘generic’ website on pet worming called wormpatrol.co.uk. Sponsored by Novartis it sought to educate pet owners on the vital importance of effectively worming their pets on a regular basis, for the health of their pets but also the wellbeing of their own family.
As well as thought provoking facts and comprehensive information, calls to action and fun interactive elements were included to really engage visitors and for data capture. For example, consumers could sign up to receive regular pet worming reminder SMS texts, they could upload pictures of their pets to the fun pet gallery and could even track and upload pictures of pets from a travelling roadshow that was supporting the brand.
Vets were also catered for with their own specific website and the option of signing up to supportive online tools such as a reminder SMS text they could in turn send out to their customer database reminding them a worming treatment was due.
